Nuclear extracts were bound and eluted off the biotinylated DNA on beads and analysed by LC–MS/MS. Raw mass spectrometry data were analysed in Proteome Discoverer (ThermoScientific; v1.3.0.339) utilising the Mascot database. Samples were searched against Uniprot database to identify proteins bound to the ALP promoter and compared with proteins that nonspecifically bound to unconjugated beads.
