Imaging the state-to-state charge-transfer dynamics between the spin-orbit excited Ar+(2P1/2) ion and N2

The data reported a synergistic experimental and theoretical investigation on the charge-transfer dynamics between the spin-orbit excited Ar+(2P1/2) and N2, which has been rarely studied before. The product vibrational, rotational, and angular distributions are partially resolved by the high-resolution three-dimensional VMI imaging. Qualitatively, the trajectory surface-hopping calculations reproduced several main features of the experimental observations.
