A minimum of 100 Pst genes is sufficient to accurately reconstruct the global phylogeny. Phylogenetic trees were generated with 1690, 1006, 748, 500, 402, 301, 204, 151 and 100 of the most polymorphic genes using a maximum-likelihood approach. Colours represent Pst isolates from similar geographical locations and/or genetic backgrounds. (EPS 2671 kb)
