Cell cultures were treated with 200 Âľg/mL of piperacillin (PIP) , mecillinam (MEC), fosfomycin (FOS), D-cycloserine (CYS) or ampicillin (AMP) at t= 4 h (A and B), 5 h (C and D) or 6 h (E and F), as indicated by the arrows in each plot. Cells in control culture were treated with an equal volume of solvent, which with these antibiotics was water (untreated).
