Kernels harvested 3 DAP were assessed for growth on various concentrations of sucrose, glucose and fructose during long term culture (15 d). After sterilization, kernels were plated on MS agar and incubated in the dark at 24 °C. medium contained either only MS salts, or MS salts supplemented with 100, 200 or 300 mM sucrose, glucose or fructose as a carbon source. Individual kernels were weighed at day zero of culture and at day 15. (XLSX 225 kb)
