Annotation of genes showing hypervariable gene expression. For cell type-specific hypervariable genes, we provide the results of the correlation analyses of gene expression levels with genetic variation, donor-specific information, cell counts in peripheral blood, as well as seasonal data (corresponding to the date of blood donation). Only correlations with BH-corrected P < 0.05 are reported (indicated by “TRUE”). For all traits other than genetic variation the results presented are based on Spearman correlation tests (see Additional file 4 for correlation coefficients and P values). More detailed information, such as the corresponding SNP IDs for expression QTLs (obtained by the BLUEPRINT Human Variation Panel), can be found in our data portal available online at: http://blueprint-dev.bioinfo.cnio.es/WP10/hypervariability .
