Relative FFA content of DU145 cells grown in full or low serum and FFA content in FCS, BSA and BSA-oleate used in this study. (a) DU145 cells were cultured in medium containing full (FS) or low serum (LS) for 48 hrs. Quantitative lipid profiling of free fatty acid (FFA) content was determined using LC-MS/MS. Relative contribution of each FFA species to total FFA pool is displayed. Data represent the mean ÂąSEM of three biologically independent replicates. Statistical comparisons were performed using Student t-test (*pâ¤0.05). (b) Quantitative lipid profiling of free fatty acids (FFA) content of FCS used for this study. (c) Quantitative lipid profiling of FFA content of BSA and BSA-Oleate. (PDF 449 kb)
